Death by Diagonal: the Plasma Beam Execution

The full story
The game opened as a Giuoco Piano, ordinary classical chess, except one player was carrying a loaded gun. White drafted Queen Time, Chaos Summon, and Transcendence. Black brought Bis-Hop, Imposter, and a single-shot Plasma Beam.
The middlegame was busy. White's Chaos Summon rolled a free bishop onto g5. Black answered with Bis-Hop, leaping a bishop over a pawn to snipe a knight, and a queenside knight raid that won a rook. Then the queens started teleporting. Black's Imposter swapped them across the board, and White spent its last Transcendence wrapping its queen back. Two casts used on repositioning while a fully loaded Queen Time sat in White's hand, never to be used.
The real story the whole time was one diagonal. White's king castled to g1 on move 11 and never moved again. Black's Plasma Beam reached full charge by the midpoint and waited. When White's d-pawn marched forward, d4, then d5, then d6, the line from c5 to g1 opened square by square. Black's rook slid to c5 and aimed.
Move 56: the beam fired down the diagonal through d4, e3, f2, and g1, and captured the king on the square where it had sat for 45 moves. No checkmate. No resignation. Just an open line and a king that never moved.
